Revitalization: The Larkin District

The Larkin District is another location in Buffalo showing a lot of promise lately. Recently there was a program on the development of the area made famous by the booming Larkin Company. Nestled in the heart of the Larkin empire was the Larkin Administration Building (pictured above) designed by none other than Frank Lloyd Wright in 1904. However, the district has since fallen from glory taking the famed admin building with it over a half-century ago. Today, a glimmer of the bustling district returns making it one of the neighborhoods to watch during Buffalo’s revitalization efforts.
