Lower West Side Community Workshop
Tomorrow from 11AM - 2PM join fellow residents and employees of the Lower West Side to discuss how the area should grow. As Buffalo continues to climb out of its recession the revitalization of this neighborhood will be a key component connecting LaSalle Park, Downtown, and Allentown. Last year the Investigative Post reported that the Lower West Side brought in the lowest median income in the entire city; a mere $12,500.
The neighborhood is within walking distance of a waterfront park, Downtown, and Allentown in addition to holding some of the city’s oldest and most beautiful buildings. The Lower West Side is home to a diverse population with an Hispanic majority. The meeting, created by community stakeholders, will discuss assets, areas of concern, and future visions of the neighborhood. Bring your children!
